MSc Bursaries

MSc Eng Bursaries – Full-time Students:

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

Hold a BSc or BEng (Hons) degree with a minimum 65% average.
Hold a BSc or BEng (Hons) degree with 60% average but have at least 3 years of industry experience in transportation.

Part-Time Students:

Part-time students are welcome to apply only if they are KZNDoT employees and they are eligible for only tuition fees bursary. All other conditions apply.

PhD Bursaries

PhD Bursaries – Full-time Students:

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

BSc Eng, BEng (Hons), or BTech &
MSc Eng, MTech, or MEng in transportation engineering.

Selection Criteria:

The selection process prioritises the following:

Proposal Quality: Evaluating the level of engagement and understanding of your chosen topic.
Academic Merits: Based on your academic records.
Nationality: South African Citizens and Permanent Residents will be prioritised, but we strongly encourage international students to apply.
